About the project, its creator and the idea behind RopeManager.
I'm a ropeway enthusiast from Europe with a passion for ski resorts, mountain infrastructure and everything that makes ropeways work.
I spend a lot of time around ski lifts and ropeways, both as a visitor and through my work at a small European ski resort. Over time, that interest grew into something much bigger: RopeManager.
RopeManager is an international database and knowledge platform dedicated to ropeways and ski resorts.
The goal is simple: to collect useful information about ropeways in one place and make it easy to discover, compare and learn about them.
From modern detachable chairlifts and gondolas to older installations, funiculars and unusual systems, every ropeway has its own story, technology and history.
There are already great sources of ropeway information on the internet, but I wanted to create my own platform with a strong focus on accessibility, structure and international users.
RopeManager is also a long-term project. The database, website and features are continuously being developed, so the platform will grow over time.
RopeManager is ultimately a project created by a ropeway enthusiast for other people who enjoy mountains, ski resorts and ropeways.
